Sephora and Ulta @ Santa Maria?

Sephora and Ulta move to Santa Maria to put the icing on the cake. Recently our city has been updating itself by getting new and more exciting attractions such as; restaurants and stores. It's about time Santa Maria gets a face lift! Many people are excited about the new stores coming soon like Sephora in JC Penny's and Ulta by walmart. Now that the stores about to open people won't have to drive 30 minutes just to buy their favorite products.

"Yes, I will start going to JC Penny more now that is has a Sephora. I'm extremely excited about the new store because the closest one prior to JC Penny's Sephora is in San Luis Obispo which is pretty far. I prefer high end makeup because I have very sensitive skin, and my skin is most compatible with high end makeup. I will be going to Sephora more because I'm most familiar with their products. However, I believe that I will be going to Ulta alot, especially when they first open so I can familiarize myself with their brands and products. Maybe in the near future, I will switch from Sephora to Ulta or simply go to both stores. The 2 stores will some what be a competition because they sell many of the same things, but there are also brands that are sold at Sephora that aren't sold at Ulta which will still give business to both." - Maricor Acosta (10)

"I am very excited that Sephora will be opening because it be will a lot closer, which means I won't have to drive so far to buy makeup. There are pros and cons to using drug store makeup and high-end makeup. High end makeup products that are expensive don't really work as good. And there are drug store makeup products that are at an affordable price that work just as good. I don't really pay attention to Ulta because it doesn't appeal to me. I would rather go to Sephora than Ulta just because they carry more brands and products. These 2 stores will not be a competition because they are both different stores, OBVIOUSLY. But Sephora has more makeup brands and Ulta just has skin care products. It just depends on what you're looking for."

- Juanita Dejesus (12)

"Honestly, I haven't been to JC Penny in years but now that they're going to add a Sephora I most definitely will. I'm super excited because I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE makeup and I really feel that Santa Maria needs a Sephora because a lot of places don't carry a lot of brands. I honestly like both Sephora and Ulta but sometimes I can't always afford high end makeup so I go to any drug store like target, to get things I need. Drug store makeup isn't bad, you just have to find what's right for you and work with what you got. I'm not really sure if they will open an Ulta, who knows since there are a lot of new stores opening! I prefer to go to Sephora more just because I have been using their products for so long, but Ulta is great too. Honestly if one store doesn't have a product the other one usually does so it's great that they are building an Ulta too! Yes I do believe both stores will be a competition, but sometimes being a competition means they can possibly lower prices which is better for everyone!!!" - Crystal Camarena (12)

"HECK YEAH I WILL BE GOING TO THE NEW SEPHORA!! Sephora is my favorite store to walk around and look at the makeup even though I'm broke at times. I prefer high end makeup better than drug store makeup because it's wayyyyy better quality and it's actually worth the money you are spending. I haven't really heard of an Ulta opening in Santa Maria but if it opens that should be exciting too! Both these stores will leave me broke because I'm so addicted to makeup. To me, I don't really think both stores will be in competition but who knows?" - Jenny Venegas (12)

"So I am definitely going to be visiting the Sephora at JC Penny because the one in Slo is too far. I am EXTREMELY excited about the new store opening up. I prefer both high end and drug store makeup, it all depends on how you work with it. I don't believe it's true that there will be an Ulta by Walmart since they're putting many new stores. The 2 stores will definitely be in competition when it comes to how the stores look inside." - Jazmin Leon (11)

Converse Review

Converse has been around for over 100 years. And has been one of the best sneakers, if not the best around the globe.  Before basketball shoes were invented such as Jordan, Nike, Adidas, or Li-Ning Basketball players like Majic Johnson wore high top converse in his early Laker days.  Converse were first used for Baseball players as Baseball cleats. And now there are more than hundreds of different types of Converse. But people rather prefer the OG versions of the high top and low top instead any of the other converse shoe designs. Because people would like to keep it original and go with the classic Converse. Most people wear Converse for the way they look/style, wear them as skating shoes, or just for the comfort.  Throughout the years, the brand has had over various names.  Chuck Taylor All-Stars or Converse All Stars (also referred to as "Converse", "Chuck Taylors", "Chucks", "Cons", and "All Stars") is the brand name for a pair of casual shoes developed and produced by Converse, which has been a subsidiary of Nike, Inc. since 2003.

" I prefer low top Converse because they are easier to put on and they look better with long socks and shorts. I also favor low top because they are easy on myankles when I work out. Finally, that last reason I like low top is because they look better than the high tops " -Shawn Dela Pena (11)

"If I had to choose between high-top and low-tops, I would say high-tops because for me personally they look better! I like high top Converse instead of the low top Converse. Because they are nicer for me personally.  I like that better than the low top Converse.  I think they are cuter than the low tops. I feel like they give your outfits a classic look rather than the low-tops. So that’s why I would choose the high-top Converse over than the low top Converse. " - Leah Torres (12)

"I like the low top Converse. Because when I wear shorts, they look good with long socks and shorts. And in the other hand I don’t like high tops as much. Because when I wear shorts with my long socks they don’t look good. So that’s why I like the low top Converse" -Rudy Lopez (12)

"I prefer the low-top Converse.  Just because they were the original Converse, you know. They were the first Converse to come out. And they just look more authentic. And in my opinion, they look more OG (original) than the High-top Converse."

-Heladio Cervantes (12)

"The reason why I would prefer Low-top Converse would be because of the price values. Usually with Converse especially these days  they tend to be overpriced. And the low tops are easily bought at a lower price. However, I would prefer to buy the High-tops because I do feel like I get more ankle support. But those High-tops tend to be the ones are more expensive."
