PV's Forensic Team Back on the Case

It was a textbook crime written like a "gum shoe" novel in which there is a missing person named Erica Holmes. Erica Holmes' car had suspicious evidence inside making it a potential crime scene. Forensic students worked as investigative teams to document and gather suspicious evidence from the car during yesterday's lab.

At each point that investigators collect or process evidence, we as a class run labs to learn how to process evidence.

Portugal The Man Reviewed:

-Lizette Ramirez and Jacklyn Cruz

Portugal The Man is an American rock band from Portland, Oregon. Around August 2001 through this day the band is still formed. The group has five members in it John Gourley, Zach Carothers, Kyle O'Quin, Jason Sechrist and Eric Howk. They recently came out with a new song called "Feel it still".  The song brings happy thought to you and makes you want to start dancing. It was released in October 2017. So far it has been the top 5th song out of 100 songs.

"I think it's to upbeat and it makes you want to get up and dance. I feel like it would be a song that Just Dance would put in on their games. I would recommend this song because if you love dancing, this is a song for you!" - Ana Leon (11)

"I think the song gives the listeners a happy thought. It puts you in a good mood if you're not in the best of mood. It just gives good vibes. I would recommend it because it’s a really good song to listen to pump you up." Rafaela Vasquez (9)

"I've never heard that song besides on the radio once but I can say it has a really good beat to the song it hypes you up. I also think it’s a good song to jam out to when you're doing homework or something. I would recommend it if your trying to relax and just want to vibe to something."

-Rudy Enriquez (11)

"I love that song. I first heard it on tv when I was cleaning my room and I got so pumped. Ever since that day, the song is my go to. When I need some energy to get something done, I put the song on. I have to admit, I dance to it every time it comes up. I would totally recommend this song because it puts you in a good mood.  -Jazmin Quezada (12)

"I personally, think that the song 'Feel It Still' is bad and an annoying song. It's always being played on the radio 24/7. The reason I dislike it is because it's too fast and you can't hear anything they are saying. I wouldn't recommend this song because it sounds like Happy from Pharrell Williams."

- Ashely Gutierrez (11)

"I don’t like this song I mean yes it gives a good beat but it's not something I would listen to on the daily I'm more of a Phora guy. It sounds more like something kids would listen to. I prefer something that hypes me up more. I would recommend it but to smaller kids not teens." - Celso Perez (11)

Panther Pride Roars at School of Rock Debut

-Photos by Zander Moreno

It is always amazing to see students, who as freshmen would hardly speak, on stage creating magic. School of Rock is an amazing example of our students' talents, as well as that of Shawnah Van Gronigen, ...  Scott Authier and the technical crew... -Ms. Walters

A special congratulations to the cast, crew, staff and teachers for an amazing show kicking off the opening of the PAC.
An amazing performance that everyone at Pvhs is so very proud of.
Great job tonight everyone !!!

-Mr. Greg Dickinson

In the words of my husband “I am floored by your students’ performance.”

In the words of my 8-year old son “That was AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!!”

Shawnah, Selyn, Scott Authier and students have given the best performance I have ever seen on our campus.  Maybe it’s because of the new PAC but I don’t think that alone can account for the magic of what Daniel Geiger and his crew performed tonight.

My deepest congratulations to everyone involved.

Staff—I guarantee that nothing else is more important this time than getting out to see the play. PLEASE make time to see it!!!  You and your family will not be disappointed.  -Ms. Davis

Like I told my husband (who stayed home to watch the World Series) I got to see a way better show than you did!!!

Go see School of Rock! -Ms. Crusan

My Love

She filled me with happiness.

During lonely, sleepless nights,

I turned to her and she always lit up.

Everything I gave her, she preserved.

From rainy hot cocoa nights

to 12 AM wing stop drives,

she remembered it all.

She let me see all of her.

She was the one.

She was mine.

She was my refrigerator.
