PVHS Homecoming 2017 a Great Success
-Zander Moreno and Brenda Linares
The homecoming experience is proven to be marvelous in the past and in recent days, most recently this Friday and Saturday. On Saturday, panthers came together to celebrate the crowning of our new homecoming king; Isaac Ortega, which took place at the homecoming dance, a night filled with slapping jams and dapper-like dressed patrons. During Friday, our junior varsity and varsity panther football teams filled the field with fervor for their sport and took pride in winning with a score of 49-7 (varsity) and 40-30 (junior varsity). With performances by marching band and color guard alike in grace and beauty, the half-filled bleachers further proved the passion for our school. The crowning of our queen—Valeria Ornelas— occurred during Friday in a suspenseful manner which gave the crowd a reason to cheer after such anticipation, the queen was crowned by last year's queen Patty Rubio.
"It was really fun and memorable, especially it being on my birthday. I have to make more memories for my senior year and spend time with my friends. Me and a group of friends ate at Shaw's steakhouse and we took some quick pictures. Probably not because I think the best memories should not be repeated. Have fun and drink a lot of water. Give enough time to plan so you won't be stressing last minute"

"Yes, my experience at homecoming was good. I liked the decorations, and dancing with my friends and date. The thing I didn't like about the dance was that there was some bad music. What I did before the dance was take pictures and get food. Yes, I would repeat the night if I was able too. My advice to those who will be going next year is go all out" -Clarielisa Ocampo (12)
"My experience at homecoming was pretty good. What I liked about it the most was being able to dance with all of my friends. What I did not like about the dance was that the music was kind of wack. Before the dance we picked up our dates, went to dinner, then we went to the dance. Yes, I would repeat the night if I was able to. The advice I would give to those who will be attending next year's dance is don't be afraid to dance or nervous, just have fun" -Zac Castro (12)
