Boys’ Varsity Soccer PrepareS for SPOTLIGHT

-Diana Valenzuela Garcia

Our boys' varsity soccer prepares for spotlight and are ready for the season to begin. You may not know it, but our boys' varsity soccer is one of the best performing sports teams at our school. Our boys' varsity soccer has made it to CIF multiple of times and they have won several CIF games. Last year they made it to CIF and went very far. This year our boys prepare themselves to win league and compete at the CIF level.

How do you feel about this season? Is this season going to be intense? What is your goal for this season?

"I feel like this season is going to be great. This season will be intense because we have a lot of talent this year from young players and vs good teams out there I think they’ll pull through. My goal this season is to score goals and set my teammates up to score and especially more than anything...to make it to CIF" -Edgar Zacarias (11th)

As a varsity player how do you feel about this season? What is your main goal? Do you think this season will be tough? And what is this season going to look like?

"I feel good about this season, I feel like our team is looking strong and will compete well. As a team our goal is to win league, we want to focus on league more than CIF this year. This year the teams are going to play with everything against us, every game is going to be a hard one. Compared to last year it's going to be the same intensity as last year. Hopefully, this season will look great! We're looking to take league and make a deep run into CIF" -Josue Chavez (11th)

Will there be obstacles for these players this season? How is this season going to look like? What do you think your players have in store this season?

"This season all the teams have a very tough season in front of them and I know they will push themselves to work for what they want. This season is going to look pretty intense but mostly it will look very good. All these kids have good potential and I believe in them. My players this season have a lot in store a lot of things. If they want to make it into league and into CIF best believe there will be a lot of training and a lot of sweat. These kids are hardworking and when they want something they will fight for it no matter what it takes they will fight" -Coach Brafman

What do you think our boys have in store this season? Will you go watch them?

"I think that they have a good way to go they have very good potential in them and I feel like they’ll make it towards CIF. This year there's a lot of good teams and they will have to fight for that spot in CIF. If I have time yes, I will go watch them play if I have time I will go support my team. All these schools are good but I have faith that we will win league and win CIF" -Viviana Garcia (12th)

“Look #5 is very cool! I would do it with my friends and take pictures for the gram. If I were to recreate it, I would pick the girl in the black.” Maribel Valdez (12)

“Ouuuu I really like look #1 it’s really good! Would I recreate it? Yes I would if I could. I mean I can barely even blend out my eyeshadow. No, I don’t think I can pull it off because my face is round and chubby.” Aryanna Rodriquez (12)

“I think look #2 is cool because of the pose, background, and dimmed light. Yes, I would recreate this look for Halloween. However, I don’t feel like I can pull it off because it’s out of my comfort [zone].” Michelle Gonzalez (12)

“I think look #3 is very creative and nice. I feel like I would recreate it just because it looks cool and challenging. The diamonds make it stand out. I feel like it took her an hour and a half to do it because it has a lot of details and blending.” Jasmine Cazares (12)

“My favorite look is #4. I am a big fan of Pennywise and I loved the original IT movie! Honestly yes, I would recreate this look since a lot of people are now taking interest into the whole Pennywise look. Yes, I think I would rock this look and I think it took her an hour or more to do this look.” Ruby Orgaz (12)
